The very word Dating was absolutely non existent even 20 years ago in Indian society. "Falling in Love" was a more common perception. Going out for a casual Date just to try a guy out was, and perhaps still is, almost unthinkable in Indian society, particularly among the Indian elites.... It's not surprising, because Indian culture still revolves around family values and conservative attitude towards family orientation, morality, ethics, customs and rituals.

When it comes to dating a western guy, the Indian girls are, by default, suspicious about his whereabouts, intentions and most importantly his orientation to a future family. It makes a huge difference...like hell and heaven.

If the guy is genuinely family-oriented and if he cares for the core human values, I am sure he has a fair chance to be picked.

LIKE most good Asian girls, Indian girls too love to have a steady and committed relationship in life with a chosen partner.

Again, UNLIKE most Asian girls, Indian girls don't at all treat the western guys as something "exotic" and "to be explored".... and definitely don't consider them as superior in any way, unless he has credible evidence of DEPTH in his knowledge and intellect. Ostentatious display of physical superiority is actually a significant DETERRENT in this matter.

Be careful, UNLIKE many Asian girls, Indian girls don't need to 'date' a western guy to win a ticket to the Western world.

Since most educated Indian girls in the modern time are bold enough to bash any guy (Western or Oriental doesn't matter) in English (broken or spoken doesn't matter). They listen to what the guy says. To an Indian girl, Western guys are absolute crap unless they can prove their intellectual and human worth in a significant way. Bohemian life style and a few throw-away "f*****" and "s****" words (which most western guys are used too) actually work as a major repellent to any decent Indian girl.

In the end, here's my suggestion to my Western friends.... if you really want to date a decent Indian girl, you have to forget the word DATE.... rather, you have to Fall in Love...... and bite much of your time to PROVE your real worth and COMMITMENT into this relationship. Afterward.... It's Marriage...and only Marriage ..... Are you really ready for that???? ....LOL

Oh! and who told you that Indian men are oppressive? Stop selling out these stupid propaganda and look at your own society.... Latest addition in the list is Mr. Mel Gibson (disgusting!!) ..... no wonder, in western society divorce and family break-ups are so common.

When in China, then blame all Chinese men as stupid and oppressive.....
when in Japan repeat the same....
when in Vietnam...the same.......
when in India, again the same .......

I have heard this story so many times in so many countries from 'western guys' trying to 'impress' a local girl..... In the end, they actually make a fun of themselves and quickly revert to 'damage control' mode whenever challenged.... LOL ... stupid braggart !!

No wonder, such Western craps and stupid-talks NEVER gets an Indian date .....
